Jessica Biel and WCG Partner on The Tryst Network

Sex Positive Online Resource Designed to Educate and Empower

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Today, global nonprofit WCG Cares (WCG), in collaboration with actress and activist Jessica Biel, announced the launch of the Tryst Network, a new mission-driven effort to improve the sexual health IQ of women and their partners using funny, provocative and empowering online content. The sex-positive resource will encourage open conversation and provide accurate and relevant information about sex, relationships and bodies.

“Within the current cultural climate, the need for a resource like the Tryst Network is now more timely than ever. Knowledge equals choice and choice equals empowerment,” said Jessica Biel.  “The word TRYST means ‘a meeting place between lovers’ and that’s what we hope to create—a safe and supported meeting place for our community to get information and work toward increasing their own sexual IQ.”

Throughout the month of February, WCG will be releasing a three-part video series starring Jessica Biel that will address the topics of sexual anatomy, self-exploration, and sexual pleasure. The first video of the series, which was released today, features Jessica joined by Chelsea Handler and can be viewed here.  The video uses a humorous approach to reach and engage the audience and communicates the importance of knowing and accepting your own body.

“Through the Tryst Network, we’re working to combat the negative, conflicting, fear-based narratives about sex, gender stereotypes, and our bodies that are part of our social norms,” said Shannon Bledsoe, WCG Executive Director. “Our hope is that through our willingness to be wide open and a bit provocative, Tryst can help disrupt the notion that these topics are shameful or too embarrassing to talk about.”
